Bio
Howdy, my name's Devlynn. I'm an amateur entomologist, and, if you saw my previous userinfo, apparently I have a terrible sense of grammar! I have a great interest in insects, and bugs, but I have a particular fascination with spiders, or arachnids. Like most people of the female gender, I am an arachnophic, so the irony is not lost on me. I hope to one day rid myself of this handicap, because spiders are amazing, incredible creatures.

I mostly just made this journal because I thought to myself earlier today "I wonder if Arachnophoria is a real word" and then decided to make it my new journal name. As to the purpose of this journal, I guess I shall use it to post little interesting factoids about spiders and other arachnids, and maybe shed some light to this mysterious critters. Some spiders are very dangerous to humans and should be avoided, but spiders have an undeserved reputation, and are mostly non aggressive, only biting in self defense. In fact, they do a lot of good for the world, like keeping down the misquito population or killing off bugs in your house. Remember that before you go smashing them.

The majority of my entries are friends only, mostly because I tend to babble about nothing and say little of interest, so I just keep it to myself. If you want to read, add me and leave a comment. I'll probably add you back!

Trolls, images of spiders do NOT frighten me. It takes a Tegenaria gigantea scuttling up my wall to cause panic. In fact, posting pictures of spiders in the comments is encouraged! I love to look at them.

Chances are at least one person stumbling upon this journal will be familiar with my main journal, [info]devynci.
